Can Cordyceps mushrooms speed up healing and increase stem cell production?

Here’s what this study from 2024 found:

They took 14 individuals, giving half of them Cordyceps and the other half a placebo.

They took muscle tissue samples before intense exercise, 3 hours after, and 24 hours after.

For the Cordyceps group, the muscle was almost fully recovered in 3 hours, compared to the placebo at 24 hours! (see picture above)

And normally, stem cells increase 38% after 24 hours, but with Cordyceps group there was a 51% increase after only 3 hours!

can Lion’s Mane mushroom restore cognitive impairment?

Here’s what this 2009 Japanese study found:

They studied thirty 50-80 year olds with mild cognitive impairment. They gave half of them a Lion’s Mane mushroom supplement every day, and the other half they gave a placebo every day.

They tested their cognitive function every 4 weeks over the 16 week experiment, using a cognitive function scale based on the Revised Hasegawa Dementia Scale (HDS-R).

Not only did the Lion’s Mane group significantly increase their scores…

But the craziest part is that 4 weeks after the experiment ended and they stopped taking lions mane, their cognitive function declined again!

A 2015 study took 52 healthy adults and gave them shiitake mushrooms every day for 4 weeks.

Can Cordyceps mushrooms increase endurance?

This 2018 study experimented on 28 individuals, here’s what they found:

Here’s what this study from 2020 found:

They took equal groups with mild Alzheimer’s Disease. They gave half of them a Lion’s Mane mushroom supplement every day, and the other half they gave a placebo every day.

After a year, they tested both groups. The Lion’s Mane group scored better in 4 different cognitive tests…

And what’s more incredible is that the placebo group’s biomarkers continued to decline, while the Lion’s Mane group did not decline.
